CMMS PLANNER *requires relocation
Ontario, Canada
This position has responsibility for planning and preparation activities, purchasing & inventory of maintenance parts, supervising and providing technical support for task execution, maintaining the CMMS system and upgrading the data in the system to expand the scope of what the system is used for.
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to Maintenance Mechanics in assigned specific area of responsibility.
Maintains a high level of ownership in the production processes and empowers the mechanics in the maintenance crew to make decisions to improve up time.
Manage the day to day Maintenance work in assigned areas and insure that quality, timely and efficient repairs are made to equipment that improves reliability and increases process uptime.
Reviews daily work order priorities, coordinates Safety and Work Permits with Operations as needed, promotes safe work practices, provides coaching and intervention on a daily basis, insures that Safety requirements are met.
Provide technical support to assist operations to troubleshoot and find root cause of equipment problems.
Work with operations to develop repair solutions that provide the permanent repairs and that improve overall reliability.
Maintains accurate record keeping of all maintenance activities. Insures that all required documentation is completed for each work order and is turned in to the planning group to insure compliance with OSHA, PSM and ISO 9000 requirements
Assist in Controlling maintenance expenses in areas of direct responsibility and work to Identify and implement cost savings opportunities where possible.
Assist in skill development of Mechanics, Coach and council, deal with personnel productivity, discipline and overtime issues
Implement and manage capital and expense projects through the department as needed for asset
replacement, reliability upgrades and other plant asset refurbishment as needed or as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering is required.
Candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a mechanical engineering role preferably within the chemical industry.
Effective communication skills are needed including verbal and written forms of communication. The candidate will need excellent planning, organizational, and teamwork skills. Must be able to work effectively with people at all levels inside and outside the company.
