FOOD SERVICE MANAGER - BILINGUAL
BATHURST, NB
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Food Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Food and Nutrition Services Department in a 200 bed Facility, located in Bathurst, New Brunswick
JOB FUNCTION
Provides leadership to supervisory and front line employees.
Monitors financial results and directs initiatives to achieve client objectives
Maintains a high degree of compliance to systems and programs
Manages human resources within the scope of the collective agreement
Plans and oversees patient services
Plans and oversees retail and catering services
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the client and all stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
Participates as active member of hospital management through participation in various committee meetings
QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary degree/diploma in food service field (Dietetics, Hospitality and/or related programs)
3 - 5 years management experience in a Healthcare environment with experience in retail food services
Experience managing a unionized environment
Excellent financial management skills as required in a Profit & Loss type of account
Computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of financial and food service programs would be an asset
