JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR
MAINTENANCE MANAGER
Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Location: Frederick, Maryland
Preferred Education:
BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ore related field preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance personnel.
2. Plan, oversee and prioritize work schedules, assign work orders and oversee the work.
3. Do It Right the First Time all assignments. Be a Champion of Excellence!
4. Implement and maintain preventive maintenance program.
5. Develop, maintain and review SOP’s and PM’s check sheets and ensure compliance.
6. Developing and maintaining a process control system to reduce the process variables for a maintenance department. Use statistical methods to improve processes.
7. Investigate and implementation of process improvement team (PIT) ideas.
8. Troubleshooting equipment problems, concerns and issues related to each production line.
9. Identify and implement process, productivity, efficiency, yield, cost and waste improvements to reduce operating costs and machine down time.
10. Supervise and coordinate the work of the Parts Room.
11. Effectively manage capital and routine maintenance projects to include establishing budgets, cost justification, quoting equipment and contractors, maintain records, and execute deliverables, meet time and cost restraints.
12. Responsible for training production and maintenance personnel on how to operate/maintain a new/modified equipment/process after each project completion.
13. Responsible for writing SOP’s and PM’s for a new/modified equipment/process after each project completion.
14. Generate layouts, drawings for new or existing equipment and processes.
15. Be proficient in the following computer skills (word processing, spread sheets,
graphics, CAD)
16. Demonstrate strong leadership and training skills.
17. Be an effective Leader lead by example.
18. Responsible to enforce and maintain all safety requirements.
19. Responsible to enforce and maintain excellent housekeeping at the all maintenance areas.
20. Strong knowledge of the entire plant machinery/equipment and process.
21. Perform other duties assign by Plant Engineer.
