Responsibilities:Our client's Edmonton office has an immediate opening for a Senior Materials Engineer who is seeking an organization with significant growth opportunities.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Project Management of multiple Materials projects
Working on a variety of small to large projects spanning from new construction design, construction review, rehabilitation work and forensic analysis.
Client management.
Preparation and review of materials engineering and testing reports. Pavement mix design and/or design review as well as pavement designs
Material condition assessment and development of remedial work and/or rehabilitation work
Mentoring, coaching and training of less experienced professionals as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelors of Science Civil Engineering from a recognized university and a post graduate degree in Geotechnical Engineering would be an asset.
Professional Engineer in good standing with APEGGA, or the ability to obtain the professional designation.
Minimum of 10 years experience managing a testing facility and knowledgable in ASTM, AASHTO, CCIL test methods on Alberta transportation products. An individual with an good business acumen.
A self starter who is innovative and enjoy working in a team environment.
Direct project experience on Alberta Transportation project would be considered an asset.
