Content Specialists play a critical role in identifying opportunities to grow Marketing’s leading advertisers’ accounts and implementing those opportunities. They are specialists when it comes to identifying relevant keywords, creating and testing effective ad copy, selecting appropriate landing pages and structuring advertisers’ accounts to maximize their return on investment. Along with their Sales counterparts, the Content Specialist acts as a key strategic resource for our leading advertisers in planning and implementing their search marketing campaigns as well as ensuring an overall positive experience.
Responsibilities include:
Own a set of high-value advertiser accounts, providing necessary service and pro-actively identifying opportunities for improvement either through best practice implementation, account analysis, or category expertise.
Be an expert in all relevant Content Development and Account Management tools so that for any particular problem you can choose the most effective and efficient tool for the job without the need for explicit processes or rules.
Be an expert with respect to our guidelines and search marketing best practices and be able to communicate these to all levels of our advertisers’ organizations.
Be an active member of the account support team that includes Account Managers, helping the them to identify opportunities and solve problems for our advertisers.
Contribute to the on-going success of the broader Content Development team by taking part in ad hoc projects, flexible service needs and extra-curricular activities.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Strong understanding of marketing and advertising with particular focus on search marketing, including best practice campaign development and management as well as a willingness to stay contemporary on trends within the industry
Ability to solve problems and identify opportunities through the use of analytics, category expertise and critical thinking
Excellent communications skills with an ability to “think on your feet” as well as exceptional writing skills
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Preferable Job Qualifications:
Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional environment, promoting change amongst peers and senior management
Strong working knowledge of YSM’s guidelines and ad development best practices
Knowledge of broader marketing & advertising trends and frameworks
Experience servicing and/or consulting in a vendor/client relationship
